Hacker Pschorr
Hacker-Pschorr is one of the biggest traditional Munich breweries in Germany. Since the 15th Century, the name 'Hacker' stand for pure beer enjoyment, historic originality and all the things that make Bavaria worth loving and living in. Or in short: 'Bavarian Heaven'
The main focus of Hacker-Pschorr is the art of brewing and enjoyable beer. But at the same time it also maintains a strong connection to its regional roots. As a regional brand in southern Bavaria, Hacker-Pschorr is recognised in Munich and the Bavarian uplands as a partner to regional clubs and associations in the areas of both sports and culture. Whether it’s football, ice hockey or volleyball – the brewery supports elite clubs as well as regional associations and athletes.
Hacker-Pschorr was originated out of a union of two families, when 23 year old brewery servant Joseph Pschorr married Maria Theresia Hacker, duaghter of the brew master Peter Paul Hacker. Within the 15 years following, through hard work and unique talent for business Joseph transformed the small Hacker Brewery into one of the top 50 breweries operating in Munich, Germany.
Ever since they've been creating some of the best German Beers available!
The brand name Hacker-Pschorr came many years later, after the two separate traditional businesses, that operated under the separate family names reunified in 1972 with an intention to strengthen the two businesses in the midst of the economic crisis surrounding the early 20th Century.
Characterised by it's flip top lid, of which Hacker-Pschorr were the very first to switch their full range of beers to this style, and tall bottles with traditional branding it still holds the character and quality to this day.
